Time Over Time

Lying in my bed … I can hear the clock tick and think of you. Caught up in circles again, and the confusion is nothing new. I might have us lost, turn(t) around, or completely in dream land, but …. thought I had turned a corner. At the very least, listening to Time After Time is a great way to lose some time.

Skip with me amigos, more like hopscotch (metaphorically speaking), down November lane and the calendar of events we don’t want to miss. F.O.M.O is real Yo!

The phrase “turning the corner” is an idiom that means to get past the most difficult area or period in something and begin to improve. It can also mean to pass a milestone or critical point. The phrase is often used in the context of a race, particularly the last “leg”. Other meanings of the phrase include bouncing back (call it a comeback!), improving, modifying, recuperating, shifting, and transforming. Just like the idiom, “we’re” in the last “homestretch” of the 2023 race. (Props to thespruce.com, idioms and their “forgotten” meanings, Cyndi Lauper, habits, 80’s pop music, and all things philosophy with a dollop of whipped cream, cherry on top)

Thank you for stopping by and losing some time with me, this “Froggy”, glorious November day. Couldn’t schedule or plan for better skies and hearty vibes. Still, can’t decide if “we” should do away with daylight savings or keep around (in our back pocket) for complaining sake, debatable history, convenient loss of time, or justifiable excuse for missing that appointment. The weather has never been better (clear & crisp) and from our humble abode to your house, we truly wish you and yours a phenomenal day, get-together, holiday, event, shindig; here, there, on-line everywhere. Many moons ago and in a faraway land, I used to write about all things wonderous to the world and I am back to stir the seven seas of wonderment once more. As the storms pass through, I set my compass and my sights upon and beyond Sirius Sea! Welcome aboard!
